Water disinfection purpose is to destroy or inactivate the pathogens and facultative pathogenic microorganisms. Beside drinking water, technological water as well must be bacteriologically impeccable in many technological processes; especially this refers to the food industry. Disinfected water is the water that has gone through all the phases of filtration because, in counterpart, floating matters could protect the bacteria from detergents efficacy. In some cases, water disinfection is done as a substantive measure, mostly with ground and underground water which are unreliable, concerning bacteriological validity.
